Devoted followers of the pop star are demanding that a man who leaped a barricade and seized the actress during yesterday's Wicked: For Good premiere be arrested or expelled from Singapore.

A widely shared video depicts the Australian man pushing past photographers and rushing toward Grande while the performers walked down a event pathway surrounded by fans.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo promptly wrested the shocked actress away from Mr Wen, who was observed being removed of the premiere by event staff.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram recently that he was "released after being arrested", though court documents indicated that he was set to attend court on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was charged.

Pattern of Disruptions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Notorious Troublemaker", has crashed a concert or event. His Instagram feed features clips of him disturbing other star-studded functions, including jumping on stage at the pop singer's Sydney performance in earlier this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers event in the area last winter.

"There needs to be action enforced against him as this is obviously a punishable act," stated an Instagram commenter, in a reply to a video Mr Wen posted of his behavior.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" a different Instagram user questioned.

Supporters Voice Worry Over the Star's Safety

Several fans blamed Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had discussed dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder after a devastating incident at the end of her May 2017 performance in Manchester, killing 22 people and harming many.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" commented one more message on Instagram.

A number of attendees also faulted security officers at the gathering for not being adequately prepared; while some called for digital services to block Mr Wen's videos.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In clips circulating online, Grande seemed shocked when she was touched by the individual. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted consoling her while Mr Wen was escorted away by staff.

Grande has remained silent on the situation, and the remaining proceedings proceeded as normal.

Hundreds of supporters had congregated in a sea of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good international debut in a Singapore venue, including some who had stood in line for as long as many hours before it started.

The motion picture, to be premiered on the 21st of November, is the sequel of a dual adaptation of the popular stage show Wicked, which centers on the unexpected bond between two distinct characters.

The production itself is a spin-off of the 1900 children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the good witch Glinda, was decked out in a champagne pink sequin dress at the gathering while Erivo, who portrays the wicked witch, wore a sleek black dress decorated with roses.

They were joined by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the highest-grossing film of last year in the UK, and earned 10 Academy Award nods, winning two for best costume and set decoration.
