The visionary game developer, the mind behind the wildly popular franchise Call of Duty, has tragically died in a vehicle crash in the state of California at the age of 55.

The tragic news was verified by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, a game studio he co-founded.

The influential industry figure lost his life when his vehicle was involved in a crash and burst into flames on a motorway in Los Angeles on Sunday, as reported by.
